Coronation Camping Ground
Walton's Coronation Camping Ground was on the site of the current Naze Marine, after merging with the Eastcliffe Caravan Park in the 90s. It's unofficial clubhouse was the Naze Mariner bar/Eastcliffe Hotel over the road.

Dovercourt Bay - Make New Friends
Built in 1937, the Dovercourt Bay Holiday Lido was modelled on Butlins. Owned by Warners, and also used during the filming of Hi-de-Hi! It eventually closed in the 90s.

Owned by Alfred Barnes (MP), the Eastcliffe Caravan Park offered affordable caravan holidays. Its unofficial clubhouse - the Eastcliffe hotel was also owned by Barnes.

Replacing the pre-war camping site, Highfield offered modern facilities similar to Butlins. Who could forget the Dolphin Club, Arthur Guitar, Len Ebbage Showband, and Superfly disco!

Highlands and Rosebank Holiday Camps
Advertised as "Two Holidays in One!" - you'd stay at one camp, but could enjoy the amenities of both! Highlands offered modern chalets, and Rosebank offered luxury Caravans of all sizes.

Martello Caravan Park - Skatepark
Opening on the 27th May 1978 by the Logie Exhibition Team, the park featured a 58 metre slalom ending in a 14 foot deep carver bowl and a 30 foot diameter performance bowl.

Seawick Holiday Lido
Opened by Terry O’Dell, the Seawick Holiday Lido grew over the years to include its own garage, shops, amusements and club houses such as Club El Toro and the Seagull, and a modern health and leisure centre.

Shangri-La Caravan Park
Sited in Colchester Road, St Osyth, the Shangri-La had its own double decker bus advertising the business on site. It offered Bingo and amusements, entertainment, and a fishing lake. Now owned by Park Holidays.

Willows Caravan Park
Establised in the 50s as a caravan and camping site by Jack Garneys and his Father - and named Willow Camp due to the willow trees that surrounded it.
A licenced club was added, named The Schooner - due to Jack's love of boats.
