Walton's Coronation Camping Ground was on the site of the current Naze Marine, after merging with the Eastcliffe Caravan Park in the 90s. It's unofficial clubhouse was the Naze Mariner bar/Eastcliffe Hotel over the road.

Built in 1937, the Dovercourt Bay Holiday Lido was modelled on Butlins. Owned by Warners, and also used during the filming of Hi-de-Hi! It eventually closed in the 90s.

Establised in the 50s as a caravan and camping site by Jack Garneys and his Father - and named Willow Camp due to the willow trees that surrounded it.
